Amiga cdtv music software
« on: June 11, 2017, 06:49:46 PM »
I have sold all mu Amigas but the CDTV. I have CD caddies. I need whatever Music Making CDs are available. We need that Amiga sound back in our studio. Can we make our own CDs somehow with online software we've used via Amiga.org? Hlad folks are still posting. Kudos!

I think your options are pretty limited with a stock CDTV. As far as I am aware, there are no professional-level music programs for the CDTV.

You've got 1MB of RAM and Kickstart 1.3. At a bare minimum you'll need to add a floppy drive. Then you can at least get access to Workbench and some 1.3-era music programs (Deluxe Music, various trackers). RAM, SCSI, and Kickstart upgrades exist, but are expensive and hard to find. You'll probably need a keyboard as well.

It is possible to burn your own CDTV discs with the CDTV.TM file on the Developer CD, but you're still going to need some writable storage (e.g., floppy) for saving your work.

It may be cheaper/faster to pick up a 1200 or a 2000 to put in your studio.
