Sorry, offending you wasn't the intention.
It was for the amuzement of others here who have had the same experience with Texans (and I have relatives there, so...).

BTW - I didn't think the Republican party could come up with someone that would make me miss your village idiot (W.), but they've managed to do just that.

And - The last good argument I had with a Texan, was about sucession (and how well THAT worked out the last time).

Although...you seem pretty level headed, so...good luck to you too.
We're all going to need it.

Unfortunately I'm not into politics.  I dont vote.  All politicians are garbage, even the current POTUS.
You're not trying hard enough.  Still not offended, just laughing my ass off over here. :-)

I that was the case Hyperion, MorphOS devs etc all would be working full time on their respective OS with all of our support.  It's time for a real j.o.b.  We'd all love to work on what we love, at home, our own boss etc.  Sometimes that doesn't happen.

morphos team is charging for a license. right? for maintenance costs. aros team does not. now are you going to tell the morphos team to get real jobs instead?

now, os4 companies would certainly gather better support if they delivered comparable results in the same fields as aros developers instead justifying their products and prices with the heritage alone.

it isnt exactly unheard of, that the community gathered a bounty or otherwise supported developers from os4 or morphos camp. so whats your point?

You're as thick skinned as I am!
Damn, you're actually a pretty likable guy.

And I did just mutter to a panhandler to "Get a job" about an hour ago, so...

Those comments I made WERE pretty rude.

And what's scary is, I DO kind of miss W.

Not the brightest sumbeotch, but I'd rather have a beer with him than be in the same room with Trump.
And no matter what mistakes Jr. may have made, his heart seems to have been in the right place.

I keep expecting them to play Darth Vader's theme every time they show Trump enter a room.

Damn, I'm ready to weep...:lol:

I freakin' love you guys, at least we all still have our senses of humor.

BTW - I met Chris Coons, one of our Delaware Senators today, a day after seeing him quoted on MSNBC and CNN (after that Senate hearing).
Even he still has his sense of humor (and he's a Republican).

So maybe I'm overreacting.
After all, if everyone else recognizes that the President is a knob...
Except, maybe, for his supporters (and they're just as frickin' crazy as he is)...well, maybe humanity isn't doomed after all. :lol:

Why would I ask the MorphOS team to get jobs?  Lmao.  They're charging for work, I'm paying.

Well, it's ok.  I didn't take offense.   I understand what you're meaning.  I just mean a dude as skilled as Kalamatee can easily get a job.  I'm at fault for disregarding the point of this thread.  Just saying, he should have no problem finding a job.

you are trying hard not to understand. but whatever. you dont need to if you dont want. and you dont need to support nick. its volontary. i base my decision in this case upon achievements rather than trying to argue if he can find a job or not.

@TheMagicM

I visited Ireland/Donegal a few months ago, and It was somewhat deserted. Very nice place, and superfriendly people. But the locals said the jobs was far and few between.
Alot of the locals left the country to find work, and if you have a family with kids, its not always easy to uproot and move just like that.

So saying it shouldnt be hard to find jobs; austerity in Europa has been applied much harsher than in USA. Germany is doing very well, in addition to the old Sovjet states. The socalled Old Europa, not so much.

Unfortunately, Kalamatee lives in a small town in the southwest of Scotland with limited employment prospects in the immediate area.

For those so inclined;

His email is kalamatee (*at*) gmail (*dot*) com, and that can be used with Paypal for example.

Kala made a new post on Aros forum worth reading. It seems like hes in a rather timecritical situation;

Why, if the need is immediate?
Its the only way to get it there quickly.

I don't have much to spare, so I pledged $5.00 a month (which doesn't start to come out until July), and sent $5.30 (which equals four pounds) via Paypal.

This amount isn't much, but if 99 other people did exact the same, this issue would be resolved.

And for the record, I'm not a routine AROS user, I'm a register MorphOS user (on a tight budget at that).
We need to support our developers and the community at large, so...

because one can abstract it in order not to have it at he mercy if simple spam bots to share? what concerns the donation, certainly you dont need to explain yourself, your support is surely very welcome.
