Dataflyer 4000sx

I have a Dataflyer 4000sx SCSI card.   I'm assuming this will work in an Amiga 2000?   Any specs as to what size SCSI hd I can use?

I have a Dataflyer 2000 (that sysinfo sees it as a Dataflyer 500).  It is my understanding the Dataflyer 500, 1000, 2000, and 4000sx are all the same.  That being said.   I think is uses either the 53c80 or 5380 scsi chip if my memory serves.  This card is fairly slow ~500,000 bit/sec vs 2,000,000+ bit/sec for the GVP or internal A3000 SCSI based on one of the Western Digital chips all using similar quantum drives.

I have used 52, 105, 270 meg, and 540 meg quantum Scsi drives, with this controller.  I have not used anything bigger with the Dataflyer.    I would suggest not using anything bigger than 4 gigs for initial testing.  I would attempt FFS for the first tests.  I have not used SFS or PFS with the dataflyer.  

Most of my bigger drivers, Mechy's card readers, or SCSI2SD are on the western digital based controllers.

My dilemma..

I have a working A2091 and would like to use SCSI2SD but want to know if the rev 6 SCSI2SD works with my A2091 without any modifications.

If it does not, then I'd like to get something that will work with SCSI2SD without having to modify it.

My SCSI2SD works with both the GVP and A3000 and both use Western Digital 33C93.
The a2091 also uses the 33C93  if there is an issue it will probably be with the A2091's screwy rom.  What version of ROM does your A2091 have?  7.0 is the newest (I think)
You can get these on ebay.

Someone here on amiga.org has had to of tried the SCSI2SD with the A2091.

I replied to that thread where someone tried the SCSI2SD...I asked if a stock a2091 worked or not, no reply.  I also have a kipper2k CF/RAM board but I have an accelerator plugged in so I cannot connect the kipper2k board in the 2 pins specified.  Ended up putting off the kipper2k.  Next up is my A1200, time to get it working.

You probably know this but make sure you have some 16-bit fast ram around for the SCSI zorro II cards.  Some ZII SCSI cards need it for DMA.

Looking on the scsi2sd wiki,  the website says that the new version of the firmware supports 4MB/sec transfers on the A590 33C90.  For all intent and purposes the A2091 is the same as the A590, so my guess is that the A2091 will work.  It would be nice is this was verified by someone..
