Can anyone tell me about GRAC ?
« on: February 19, 2017, 03:23:18 AM »
I just played with my new pc installed amiga forever.
There were a few games created with GRAC, and I really loved them.
Is it possible to get original GRAC program ?
Is it hard/easy to use ?
Can anyone tell me anything about it ?

Thank you !!!

Both GRAC and GRAAL are written with AMOS, by the same author.
They're point 'n click adventure (ala Monkey Island/Simon The Sorceror/etc) game makers. Given the fact they're written in AMOS they seem pretty decent.
Both are available on aminet, as is the source code (not needed if a person wants to make a game with them, but potentially handy nonetheless).
There's also some user newsletters and extras for both.
Additionally you can find some games made with them on aminet (I'm not sure, but I think H.O.L. will have a filter, or at least some adventure games made with them will detail the fact).

Other than a basic general knowledge of them, having read about them in magazines, etc. I don't know much more.
Near as I can tell this is where I write something under the guise of being innocuous, but really its a pot shot at another persons/peoples choice of Amiga based systems. Unfortunately only I cant see how transparent and petty it makes me look.

If the source is available, it would be great to recompile it with the 2.1 runtime library when it is ready.  That'll fix the horizontal scrolling bug from the 2.0 AmosPro.
