Do someone know how I get my AMI-PC to work?
« on: December 30, 2002, 11:51:54 AM »
Hi!

I have the program AMI-PC, at one CD to the PC and on one disk to the Amiga, and a cable that I connect to the paralell port on my A1200 to the PC port where the writer usally is.

But I can't get it to work. When I run the file Pc2amres I just get the message:

PC < | > Amiga
Resident Installed

And when I start the files MountPC4KS2 or MountPCKS3 at my Amiga to start the program, I get the message:

Can't open def_pc.info for input - object not found
ERROR: Device 'PC:' is allready mounted

Do someone know what is wrong or what I maybe done wrong I'm glad for awser. =)

Thank for stoping by !

I have this software. Bought it from Epic Marketing but IIRC they sent just a straight passthru parallel cable with it and not the PCAnywhere/Laplink parallel cable you need. don't know if this is your problem. Also IIRC the resident PC side of the software never worked for me. Run the one that sits on your task bar (Pc2Am.exe I think). Still doesn't stop all the timeouts that is normal behaviour for this program though :-?

Hi He-Man!
i don't know AMI-PC program, but you can try to use another software like this.
few years ago i tryed easylink, check to aminet!
also try 'paradise', an utility for amiga to pc file transfer via parallel....

good luck!
