It is doubtful that you killed the drive. Most likely a duff ADF file in the current location. Try to remove the USB pen or whatever you have attached. If the Amiga boots correctly you can try again, but you might need to replace the selector file on the USB device, or format it and start over.
i just double tested its internal Floppy drive it boots still from the WB Disk, so thats a relief. if power or floppy ribbon cable are removed from the Gotek Unit, it waits for a boot disk,
about to try an USB Stick w/ just selector.adf then going to try other floppy disk images.
edit: Nope if the gotek's connected it just keeps flashing between white/grey and blinking Power,
when i first connected it it did this for a few till i got a GURU Meditation Error clicked my left mouse botton, it eventually loaded the selector ADF but while a game was running , system trying to boot or sitting at the selector screen, even now. its constantly driving USB Key activity. the Jumper pin is on S0 (3rd from left)
Yep, the unit's Toast. started having an Odd smell, instincts tell me ASAP to kill the power, i had a wiff of my Good USB3.0 SD Reader *PEWWW* almost wanted to gag i break apart the shell, theres some discoloration of the shell on the reader, i look on boths sides and... the Controller IC BUBBLED. the Gotek unit still powers on recognizes other drives Still light grey white then reset, but if it fried my SD Reader safe to asume the gotek unit went w/ it. the Amiga still Boots from its own drive however. so im putting things back together and going to contact those at amigastore see if they cant when they resend my (which is almost not considered lost) unit to the friends place not only have i downtime'd my own amiga but his as well :/
Impatience always bites me in the keister. i think sadly im just going to stick to Emulation till i can afford an HDD/Accelerator kit. (i'd further examine the gotek unit but theres a screw underneith thier "Void if removed" sticker)
