LOL!!!

Actually, it should be around 40$ CAD.

I've had a real hard time to find a way to "clip" the color levels properly. I'm in what we call the NTSC problem or "Never Twice the Same Color"... :roflmao:

I changed the design alot and now I'm using a ready made color conversion matrix on a chip.  This chip was designed for new gaming console in order to convert RGB signals to Components / S-Video / Composite video signals.

Prototype will be arriving soon from the shop so stand by for more news about it's performances.

In the mean time, check out if your LCD TV is compatible to 240P. Fast way to test it is to connect the Amiga monochrome signal into the Y input of the components port. If you have an image, bingo, you're good!  If you have a "no signal" message , then your TV can't interpret 240P.  You can try put your Amiga into interlaced mode (480i). The image should appear then.  You need another LCD screen.  Most Sony Bravia and Samsung TV are compatible.

Cheers!

:pint:

Yes come to a SACC meeting or come to Amiwest and take home a nice working 1084 monitor. Or invest some money in your beloved Amiga and get an Indivision and never worry about being in this situation again.

Or, enjoy that classic monochrome gaming and pretend your Amiga is a Macintosh.

The RGB-Component converter solution is to bring the Amiga video port into the 2000's era. (HDMI would be 2010's). Problem with Indivision is that it does not work on non AGA Amiga, which is my case. I'm offering an alternative at a reasonnable price. :hammer:

My A2000 has an Indivision in it. Works fine. Just make sure you order the ECS version.

well its a common cause of failure. There is this excellent site:

 http://www.jammarcade.net/commodore-1084s-p1-repair-part-ii/

but dont try it, high voltage, leave it to professional, blabla.
Is there a high pitched noise?
The hardest part is finding replacement. Original is quite pricey. I found cheap Chinese copy, locally, think it was less than 10eur.

Thanks, I'll try to find someone to repair it for me.

Just got an used 1084S-P and it was working fine for 5 minutes until the picture started to shrink and I smelled something bad
I had to turn it off quickly and didn't turn it on anymore :(

Other options, i have one of these.. plugs into the video slot and provides component video:

https://gglabs.us/node/2014

He was selling them a while back on ebay, but i dont see them now. Other option is if you have the know how he provides the pcb files and parts list to build one.

this version works off the external rgb port, a better 520 per say and offers component video:
https://gglabs.us/node/983

he claims to be working on a new better version also.

Have you tried making a VGA adaptor and hunting down one of the VGA monitors out there that do RGB? Many can be found at secondhand stores for virtually nothing, and new models that are RGB-capable are being discovered all the time.

Interesting, I didn't know that but it's also hard to find those.

I need to buy HR 7506 :(
Where can I buy?
