New Amiga 2000 Rev 6.2 Boards!
« on: November 09, 2016, 12:25:48 PM »
Hey out there,

I want to share with you an actual Project on a1k.org for a Amiga 2000 replacement Board!

First protypes arrived and are ready for assembling. This will be a "do-it-yourself" Projekt.....

Actually there is NO DATE for a community order... but maybe it will come

Red is beautyfull :)

Interesting as long as I only have to put in the CPU and the custom chips, without any soldering.

Neat!  But why didn't they go the whole hog and make them 6.5?  Latest & greatest, and all that...

What is the purpose of new boards? You can't just go out and buy the custom chips new. I think if I were going to produce a new motherboard I would make it use current production parts, FPGA for the chipset.

Um, for people who have motherboards that have been eaten by leaky batteries?  :p

As in the past done with the A4000T selfmade-Project, I think you will get the board and the barts in one lot..... or you can unsolder them from defektive boards.....

I was thinking the same, it's excellent for people who have had their mobo tracks broken for one reason or another.

Ooh, if these are made publicly available at some point then I might consider ordering one. Are the new boards mil-spec? ;)

Yeah, that's about it because you'd need a case and keyboard anyway.

I wonder if they could respin the board in a standard case size.
