I imagine it'd be about the same as using a IDE2CF adapter, which I use in my A4000. It's got some pretty quick access time.

I'm pretty impressed with the size of that drive, in both capacity and physical size...

Mac Mini 1.5GHz, that might run MorphOS someday, when the fools who own it come to the realization that 30 minutes just isn\'t enough time to play with it enough to decide whether or not you like it enough to cough up $200.

 - Someone please design SOME kind of DIY accelerator for the A4000. :D -

I was watching the 1200, but I didn't see the flash drive. If I had, I would have been bidding on it.

Just got one using buy it now for 41.95 and will let you all know how it works as a OS3.9 boot drive. I will be getting it express shipped. Here is a link for several more.  And for those that would like a compact flash adapter to IDE here are a few of them too.

...nice!
I'll keep watching to hear how it works out!

I'm especially curious as to how long a format takes and initial boot up!!

Hi :-)

Don't forget one little thing : Flash Memory is mortal!

Most of it will support 10000 to 100000 writing/erase before dieing :-(

@webmasters :-)

isn't it an automatic line wrapping option for forum topics? this one is looking horrible :-)

That's a GOOD point, all things in this world ARE mortal!! APRX how long are we talking here though, 6months, 10years? Can it be measured in MTBF like OLD hard drives used to be measured??

The problem has to do with the lack of "/" in the URI part of the URL.  Word wrapping is on, but most browsers trucate at "/".  This is also true of the MLA, APA, and Chicago style guide restrictions.  In the interim, I've edited the obscenely long url to a truncated and simple string.  The long url without the line wrapping is the way browsers are supposed to render those lines.

Hope that makes sense.

Oh yeah, these items are totally sweet.  I honestly thought about picking up a few to set up a couple 0db servers.

Yes, as I said, when it reaches it's maximum erase count flash cells will stay in an unknow state, you will have more and more "bad blocks" until you ends with a totally useless hardware thingies :-)
