A3000 fan swap possible
« on: October 19, 2016, 07:24:26 PM »
Was wondering if anyone has done a fan swap on their Amiga 3000 (or any model) for a more quiet model?  It is one of the things I wish I could change about my Amiga is to make it quieter while its running.

Sure.  I changed mine on my A2000.  Standard 80mm fan, I replaced mine with one with a three-speed switch and blue LED's.  Because why the heck not, right?

I imagine you just need to find out the size for an A3000 and match it up with a suitable replacement from newegg.com, or where ever you get your computer parts.  :)

Oh yes for sure. I have replaced the fans in both my A2000 and A4000. The latter one made a LOT of difference. The only sound you can hear now is the drive clicking.
