The biggest free lot is gone!
« on: February 29, 2004, 08:57:52 PM »
The race is over

Kent arrived saturday evening and left for home this morning. We engaged in some interesting "Amiga talk", and despite what those who left for more amiga like ground whould say, he is an avid Amiga devotee. He is not very interested in the alternative other than curiousity. We talked about alot of Amiga personalities and yes that includes you! I told him I would post something nasty about him while he was driving and could not defend himself so make him think I did ;)
We did not go through the boxes but did glance inside. Some highlights:
There is a complete 3000 (not assembled), 2-2000's, 1-2000hd, 1-2500, 1 Prevue (2000), 2-500's, 1-1000, 2-1084's several a3640's, several gvp 030 combo boards and memory for them, gvp tbc+, kitchen sync, 2meg chip ram board, amiga action replay, 2 toasters, several scsi cards, picasso IV, retina, sound switch, supergen genlock, av drives, extra power supplies and cases, extra hard drives and floppy drives, frame grabber, color splitters, 4000mb, 500mb, extra chips and tons more!
The software load finished filling the Grand Caravan (minus seats) to the top. Toaster software ImageFX ect.. Games CD's Magazines, even my Amiga 2000HD PROFESSIONAL manual (too bad doomy).    Everything worked when boxed up, I hope it still does when he arrives home. Hope he has a lot of fun and his wife lets him keep some of it.
And BTW it is gone so no more emails about picking it up
please. Over 100 last count! I guess free sounded good to a lot of people.

I'm home.  Just got home.  Left at 8am (or so) and arrived at 9pm.  All of the software filled five 17" monitor boxes.  I'm going to start sorting out the hardware tomorrow.  I'm going to keep a few things (like a 2500, couple hard drives, PIV...), but most of the rest will go.  There is a hoard of software that will take a good majority of time to sort out, so give me time to work out the kinks.  I'm thinking I might have this somewhat organized by the 21st of the month.

Thanks again Stew for all the hospitality.  If there is anything I can do to repay the favor just name it.  Now to find happy homes for this all this equipment and software.

I love the modern age world of this middle age crises America... all these SUVs driving around like there\\\'s gas to spare and then some.
