For sale: X-Surf 100 with RapidRoad
« on: September 14, 2016, 10:09:19 PM »
I want to sell combo X-Surf 100 + RapidRoad (version for xsurf only).

Features:

X-Surf 100:

  • Asix AX88796BLF Ethernet chip (NE2000 compatible)
  • 100 MBit/s transfer rate
  • RJ45 connector
  • 16 kB databuffer
  • Zorro III interface with Z2/Z3 auto sensing
  • SANA 2 and NetBSD drivers
  RapidRoad (X-Surf 100 version)

  • provides two USB ports
  • isp1763 USB host controller chip
  • compatible to USB 1.1 and 2.0 specifications
  • supports USB 2.0 highspeed mode (480 Mpbs)
  • card features clock port and proprietary X-Surf 100 expansion connectors
  • supplies up to 1.5 ampere per USB port
  • only supports PIO (Programmed I/O) operation (no DMA), thus having higher load on the CPU during transfers
  • typical data rates: 7.5 MB/s (Zorro III), 2.5 MB/s (Zorro II)
My own review with pictures and testing is here: http://jack.untergrund.net/2016/07/1...-for-amiga-en/

Actual photos:

Both items boxed, selling together (no split).

Price 190 EUR plus paypal plus shipping

if this is going into an A4000 with CS-MKIII and SuperBuster v11 I couldn't get mine working and some others couldn't either so do your homework & avoid lots of headaches

I had no problems with MK3 in A4000 either with PPC in A4000T. But fact is xsurf is not so good friend with my Mediator Di board. As you can see in my "review" link in my first post I tested USB function to details and the ethernet function works also just fine.

What about the XSurf drivers ?

I read somewhere a registration is required ? Is it true ?

Not that I remember. If I recall correctly, you can just download the drivers from the icomp home page.

yep, no registration required. This is probably one of the easiest pieces of hardware to set up, great software support. I recently added a RapidRoad for XSurf and i've been amazed at how well everything works. 500gb external hard drives, dvd burners, all usb peripherals i've tried - faultless!
