Joystick

Hey,

I recently got hold of an Amiga 500 and am really excited to be playing a few retro games. I grew up with an Amiga and some of those games were sooooo classic.

Can't wait to fire up elite again!



Anyway, I've been looking to buy a joystick online and haven't had too much joy. can anyone recommend a good place to buy Amiga compatible hardware?

Amigakit, Vesalia, AmigaStore and Amiga shop all have various 9 pin Dsub joystick and joypads for sale depending on your preference.  

You can also use USB sticks and pads with the Rys MkII adapter which is available at most Amiga hardware dealers.

The Wico joysticks were quite common and lasted. I still have two of them that work great 30years after buying them new.

A switch joystick, digital is easy, Amigakit. An analogue Joystick is harder, used for flight sims and such. I use a quickshot. A usb one won't usually work because to trim the stick uses a programs built in the game and we don't have that.
