I have for sale or swap original ultra rare Prometheus PCI Zorro III card for Amiga 3000/4000

Personally tested on my A4000 with Voodoo 3

Only 250 pcs. made.  Final version rev. E

Card + latest software (prometheus.library 2.5 and others) This card is original from Matay PL.

Cool hardware, but wow that's a lot. Is there any advantage with this over a mediator? Its nearly double the price, but if the same PCI cards can be used and is faster it may be worth it, if not I cant see spending that kind of money.

Is the Prometheus an open-source design?  If it's what I'm thinking of, someone could (in theory) build more of them.

250 sounds like a very small number, but from what I remember it took a long time for them to sell, which is unfortunate. The design is open source - hopefully a cool new product can come from it.

I remember when the main guy at Matay was selling on ebay its remaining inventory and was offering a single slot variant solely for PCI graphic cards over there.

BTW, the last version of prometheus.library I have is 3.0 from 2005 (and not v2.5).

Yeah, it was definitely a "you can build your own but you can't sell them for profit" agreement.

If I had a big-box Amiga (3000/4000) I might look in to giving it a try.

Where did you get the v3.0 of the prometheus.library?  I also thought v2.5 was the latest

this is an unofficial version just shiped to Betatester for the planed new batch by Michael Boehmer (made the DENEB). This Library is used to enable DMA on all slots.....(new cards only with updatet Software)

You have right but 3.0 is unofficial version and latest is 2.5

Price - You are very happy when bought only for 150, this my Prometheus cost me ca. two years ago 550 + shipping and for same price is then for sale. I have Grex 4000D

nobody wants it for 150 Euro..... so mine was expensive....but after TWO Pricedrops:D

It is NOT worth any cent more......:rofl: 150 Euro is a normal price for this Hardware..... but lets talk about the great weather or something else....
