Congratulations?
« on: May 24, 2016, 07:03:00 PM »
Hi guys,

I just wanted to drop by, say "hey" (hey!), and look  around for a second or two.  Thought I would add that while I wish the  new/new owners would finally do something about the 12-year-old theme  and software, I'm actually kinda proud to still see a lot of names  online and posting that I still remember from the olden times.

It  looks like you guys are actually doing a lot better nowadays, or at  least you've put away your verbal machetes, and that's a great thing to  see.  Maybe me selling the site all those years ago and stepping away  from the community was exactly what everyone needed in order to step  away from the drama and silly crap and get back to supporting the  platform (such as it is in 2016)...

Helll, with me and Moobunny gone, everything looks positively sane

Looking back, and judging  solely by the few threads I've waded through today, you guys look like  an entirely different world, or at least the Xanax kicked in...  :)

In the end, I hope you guys are well and that you're still having fun.

I left these parts somewhere around 2011.  I'll look every now and then but if anything it's on Facebook.

Doubt it was you.  There are a few idiots that ruin things.  I gave away the Amiga Facebook page due to the stress of dealing with the "elites" and "purists".  Anymore Commodore 64 is where its at. ;)

I kept the Amiga 1200 as a reminder for what it used to be.  Pure nostalgic and for the memories.  Eventually may chuck it and give it a proper burial in a crusher. :)

Take care!

Hey Wayne,
We still dig out the artillery when warranted (could be why we don't hear from Cammy often).
And some of us even keep in touch with Franko (as well as waxing nostalgic about Doomy).

Also, not only are we still here, but there seems to be a slight revival in interest.
Thanks for everything.

Its good to see you post again. I agree, its a lot better than in the past. I also left and came back not long ago to the Amiga side. I even went to an Amiwest after the previous one I attended was bad for us MorphOS users.

Much better group of users now a days.

Oh man,
This site just went to crap, look who is back. Hey Wayne how you doing, hope your doing well. Hey Karloss is around somewhere. Nope the old smerf never changes. Just came back today, selling all my Amiga Equipment, moving to another country, besides getting old want to let the younger guys enjoy the platforms. I will probably kick the bucket soon anyway so why not. It is time to sell I listed my trusty old Amiga 4000 on Ebay and decided to see what these guys will offer for my A1200.

Anyhow good to hear your writing on the board again. Take care.

smerf
I have no idea what your talking about, so here is a doggy with a small pancake on his head.

MorphOS is a MAC done a little better

I always think, "I should get an A1200, and sit it next to my A4000" but then since my cyberstorm mk1 kicked the bucket, and I have 128mb less memory, and it seems once I install picasso96 I just get weird errors, I haven't played with the A4000 much.  Plus I have an Atari Falcon 030 and another Mega STe that I haven't had much time to play with.

I got an HTC Vive... so.. while I love the old systems, holy crap that thing is fun!

Nice to see some people come back though!

Hi Wayne,

Glad to see you post every  6 months or so :)

Site is less shouty but also a lot more quiet.  Very few people ever logged in at once these days.

Will admit to spending more time on EAB these days.

Still love you all though :)
