supra hard drive controller software

Is this software needed to format a hard drive for an amiga 2000.  bought this used and the hard drive on it was dead.  Have replaced hard drive but this has no software with it and I was wondering if I needed it???

If I do, does anyone have a copy of this that I could purchase???
