A new accelerator for Amiga 500. You won't want to miss this exhibit! See their site for more information.

After settling some logistics issues, Sam Crow will represent the company. Sam was with us in 2012 in another capacity. We welcome him back to the show and really look forward to seeing this latest product work wonders for an A500.

But you can't see it run if you don't come. Make your plans now - we're getting closer every day.

Googled for it because previous poster didn't provide a link. Found this site:

http://www.apollo-accelerators.com/

I can't make heads nor tales of it.  Sounds like "Apollo" is just another way of saying "Vampire".  Maybe it's just me, but I get really irritated by incomplete information, lol. ;)

Apollo is the CPU (core) owners name, the 68080 core is licensed for use in the Vampire 2 accelerators (other product brands may also use the core in the future e.g. Natami, Phoenix etc.)

AFAIK there is no connection to previous accelerators using the Apollo name.

Probably a confusion between the Appollo that Jens bought up and the Appollo CPU core inside the Vampire FPGA board...

The FPGA Apollo-core is not a company yet.  The other Apollo accelerators were different people.

Back in the day, Apollo made some great accelerators for classic Amigas. Well, they're at it again. And they will be bringing an example to AmiWest 2016. Reportedly, that example will be their new accelerator for Amiga 500. You won't want to miss this exhibit! See their site for more information.

After settling some logistics issues, Sam Crow will represent the company. Sam was with us in 2012 in another capacity. We welcome him back to the show and really look forward to seeing this latest product work wonders for an A500.

strange that you are confusing this, if you are posting on behalf of amiwest organisators you should put it straight in order not to furtherly confuse general public or potential participants.

sam crow, who is apparently attending your show in capacity to represent apollo team, said this already but maybe its not clear enough.

apollo team, providing fpga core for vampire accelerators, has nothing to do with the company that produced apollo accelerators once upon a time. apollo team isnt even a company. it is, so far i gather, simply an initiative of people with a common interest. one may be picky about their choice of name, but it is their decission, and it isnt too hard to inform oneself about who is who and what is what even on these forums..
