Hi Erol!

I have an Indivision AGA 1200 MK2 and I love it, very nice quality of image! What is your experience with the XRGB-mini, is it worth the price?

Cheers! :)

I have Indivision's in all of my Amiga's and wouldn't use anything else.  Have connected them to a variety of monitors, TV's, projectors, etc., no issues.  Also they add additional screenmodes (SuperPlus 800x600, HD720, etc.) that you're not going to get with another adapter.  For my needs they work perfectly, obviously your mileage may vary.  ;)

Actually, I don't play so much as I have fun coding with the Cubic IDE, so for me it's mostly workbench... I am sure that others can share better experience with games than me :)

The IndiECS is fairly easy to configure.  The config tool for the AGA versions is less user-friendly, but there's already a ton of threads about that in the forums.

I'll try to dig up some pictures later since I've taken a ton over the years and they're all on my computer at home now, but I don't really know how much that's going to help you.  Most of people's complaints about the Indi's is related to refresh rates / screen tearing / scrolling / Hz / not smooth blahblahblah.  Stuff you're not going to see in a photo, or even a video (once it's re-encoded to be posted on YouTube or wherever).

Again, my .02 cents, is that most of the people complaining about these things are just using crappy monitors or TV's, and dodgy bargin-bin cables, and if they'd STFU and just spend the money for a high quality display with a fast refresh rate they'd have much fewer problems.  But Amiga users are cheap and like to complain.  Can you tell this subject pisses me off just a bit?

I may end up buying one for cd32 but as for other Amiga's ill consider it.
It seems most people are happy with the Indivision.

As for complaining, yeah i have noticed but again we have a lot to smile about the Amiga is gaining ground slowly..  just wish they would hurry up with a low cost machine or an accelerator for the cd32, a machine that is under estimated.

thanks, some games ran fullscreen and some had a small black bar below (or below and above).   You can't really avoid this because most old Amiga games use slightly different resolutions.

Indivision AGA is a bit hard to configure, but can produce excellent results. I run my Workbench in 1280 x 1024 mode, which on my 17" LCD panel looks perfectly.

For games and apps running in PAL I have created new VGA mode: 640 x 512 and set Indivision to double both horizontally and vertically. The mode is upscaled by monitor adding some blur, which is good thing for such low resolution as PAL. I've also turned on scanline simulation with 25% depth. Then games/demos look almost like on CRT, but with perfect geometry and full screen.

The only disadvantage for games and demos is that Indivision frame cannot be synchronized with Amiga vertical blanking. There is a gadget for this in the settings program, but it is not (yet?) functonal. Then, even if the output mode is @ 50 Hz, scrolling is not perfectly smooth because of lack of sync.
