CD32 Games
« on: March 28, 2016, 11:34:50 PM »
Hi All, I am very interested in hearing from you all on what you believe to
be the very best CD32 games.  Now I know not everyone has a CD32, but
I don't care about that.  If you have an opinion about a game, or you played
a game.  Maybe even a CDTV game.  I want to hear about it and start to put together
a list of CD32 games.  I'll kick it off by saying today I played James Pond II RoboCod.
I must give Kudos to the designers of this game because it is first rate.  The graphics
superb, the sound tract better than that.  Many different levels if you can call them that
the game seemed to switch often from one local to another.  I must say I really didn't
understand to much about what was going on besides picking up points and traveling around
each level (local).  I really need to read the instructions to find out how to win or if
I'm winning.  But really a first rate game. So this is sort of like VW but instead of
drivers welcome, I am saying, opinions welcome.
Thanks
Brad Hansen

Since Speedball 2 is the best Amiga game and the CD32 has the best version of it I'd have to say Speedball 2! Different coloured players to tell player 1 and player 2 apart and CD quality sound are just two of the improvements! I also like the CD32 version of Wing Commander with 256 colour AGA graphics. It also has a WHDLoad loader to install to the hard drive of regular AGA Amigas! ;-)

Silly Question, :).

Microcosm is the best game ever, :). Well I like it anyway.

Microcosm is a great game, but Turrican 2 is the best game of all time.  ;)

Hmmm.. I actually have a few I would like to submit as my opinion, not necessarily in this order though
My Top Picks = Litil Divil, Heimdall 2, Shadow Fighter, Super Stardust, Alien Breed Tower Assault, Cannon Fodder and Dragonstone (these are my top of the 40 titles I own).

Also would like to add the ones I think are top picks for crap
Crap top picks = Final Gate (think worst Amiga game period), Akira, and Last Ninja 3 (such a disapointment and crap controls).

Again there may be better or worse games, but this is my pick from my personal collection.

The amount of times I've played Turrican 2 all the way to the end.  I don't think any other game comes close.

I would agree with most here.

I would add Lemmings, Lotus, Syndicate.
