I'm having all kind of issues with my A3000D (68040) running AmigaOS3.9.

It took me all morning long to install MUI38 (as part of my configuration of Rapid Road; this will be a new and separate thread). For some reason, my Unarc is chopping the files during unpacking, so at the end I had to use lha.run command.

Now, I am trying to install the Boing Bag updates, but I can't get the installation script even started. See attached screenshots of SnoopDOS log. It says that the Installer fails.

As part of my morning adventure, I made a fresh installation of Installer43_3, which now resides in C: In that folder I have Install still in C:

See attached pictures for illustration:

And these are the pictures of the error messages I get trying to install Boing Bag 1:

How can I fix this mess, fixing Unarc and straighten up the 3.9 defaults to handle unpacking and installation?

Thank you.

Maybe try using Scout or SnoopDOS to ind any missing libs it may not be finding?

Should install all the BoingBag updates immediately after the OS install. OS3.9, then BB1-4, then MUI.

Since it's too late for that now, use lha x from the command line to unarchive the contents of the BB updates to RAM:, and run the install script from there.

You'll need to have the 3.9 CD in the drive to install the first two BB's. You got that?

Doesn't the newest Installer belongs in Utilities (now)!

This is correct and thanks to Thomas, that is what fixed my issue here. All BB updates are finally installed.

Now moving onto to X-Surf 100 and Rapid Road:)
