Are you running any of the card reset patches currently?
The Amiga doesn't have a "Programs" drawer. Well, maybe it does with ClassicWB, but normally it doesn't. Normal location is SYS:Internet, although some components may go in WBStartup, some in C:, etc. Or with Roadshow, it puts folders all over the place. Which was a complaint that came up in another thread a while back.
Well, the card patches where installed first, together with the driver for the ethernet card. But if those patches ("
CardReset" and "
CardPatch" i believe they are called) where already installed by default like mechy said. Shouldn't those files just be overwritten and replaced by the system when they are being installed again? So my first question is. How do i check/fix that?
And my second question is. Are you really sure it is in a location called "
SYS:Internet"? Because that directory simply doesn't seem to exist on my setup!? Or are you referring to OS3.5/3.9?
With that said i also would like to point out once again that i am using
ClassicWB based around
WB 3.1. So please, try to stick to how things work in that particular environment. Or else things gets really confusing. (At least that's what i think )
And my third question is. How do i really make sure both of these stacks are completely gone? All i have done so far is just to delete the drawers for them. But if files are placed in drawers like C: How do i then know witch ones to delete? Do they all have "Miami/AmiTCP" baked into there file names?
One more thing that i really don't get here is when i was trying to install Miami for the first time, the system told me something about that it already had a Miami assign on it. Are Miami already installed by default in ClassicWB? If so, where is it located? Because i just cannot seem to find that one either?
Also in case you haven't figured it out yet, i am not only a newbie with Amiga networking. I am also a complete newbie when it comes to "ClassicWB" as well. Just installed it about two months ago. The only versions i have used prior to this is 1.3, 2.04. And just a little bit of the traditional 3.1. So please excuse me if i am sometimes asking some really dumb questions :p
