I've noticed Ken Lesters site links all lead to a dead hostgator landing page. Are his newer dual png style icons no longer available? I got most of my system complete but would like to have the missing ones.

Which newer ones were you talking about? Almost everything that I've painted since 2008 has gone into AmiKit (including the new A.L.I.C.E. stuff). However, I did upload the main archive to aminet a while back (http://aminet.net/pix/picon/kens_icons_v4.lha)

Let me know if there was something specific you were looking for that isn't in that archive?

Thats a more complete version than I had! Thanks Ken. I can send you some screen shots of what I have missing still. Maybe its just a matter of messing around and replacing stuff by hand now.

Oh! One I would like is a remake of the ClassicWB system disk icon in your style. Its an A4000T next to an amiga disk. Looks awesome and I use it for my System boot partition Icon.

Actually i take it back, the Aminet version of your Icons V4 isn't the same as the Kens 2.4 I have. These are the 256 color OS4 set in glow icons style I installed in 3.9 which look amazing compared to that aminet set you liked me.

Yeah, that archive contains the DualPNG icons. I don't know that the older 256 color ones are available anywhere right now.

Just wanted to say... that's a great looking Workbench!

I use Ken's Icons on mine, too.  You've probably seen them in some of those cheezy videos I've posted lately.    I think I downloaded almost every single icon set on Aminet, including three or four different sets of Ken's, to get what I wanted.

Generally people don't attach icons to drawers like C:, Classes:, L:, Libs:, Locale:, S:, T:, etc.  So you might not be able to find all those.  But you should be able to find most of the others.  Also, great that @klesterjr is still active on here!

I havent gotten to far so I can just replace the few things that got updated with the installer to 256 color. Its mostly the drawers that dont match. Thanks Ken.

I need the normal non 256 color system icons to replace these now. The system drawer, tools, storage, prefs etc. I dont see them in the V4 pack. Are they in an older archive?

Wow, the last message on this thread is almost 1 year old now... I shall therefore rekindle it

My eyes are just being opened to the beauty of PNG icons on the Amiga and specifically, I'm really digging the Kens Icons 2.3 set from Amiga Look.  I've installed them over top my OS 3.1 system.  Alas, there are still missing icons that I need.

My question is are there other archives from you that are they the same style as these in the V2.3 archive?  I see the discussion of "4.1" style and am wondering if they are indeed different than what is in V2.3.  I'm seeing more icons from you on the Amiga Look site under the PNG subsection which is different from where the 2.3 archive was.  LOL... as my daughter would say "the struggle is real".

Also I noticed that the screenshots on Amiga Look for the 2.3 archive don't appear to actually be the same icons that are in the 2.3 archive - for example, that RAM DISK icon is definitely not there but it sure looks sweet.

I've downloaded a few different icon archives and the V2.3 if my top pick of the bunch so far, which is why I'm looking for stuff in the same design.

Edit: I missed that you were looking for the OLD 256 color icons -- I did at least as many of those as I did the newer DualPNG icons (a complete set for AmiKit), but I don't think they are still hosted anywhere. Maybe you can dig up an old pre-DualPNG version of AmiKit?

So as far as difference between these icons and the ones in V2.3 - are they all part of the same standard like size, glow, etc. or did you change how you do them between these revisions?

For example, in 2.3 you have different variants of the prefs icons but in V4 you have just the ones with the sliders.

Ok, I answered my own question after digging in at least for the drawer icons and disk icons - they are definitely redesigned to be different sizes.  But how about normal programs and prefs icons? Are they the same between V 2.3 and V4 and do you have any other packages beyond V4?
