Huh?
Bad enough I had to look up CV (not a term we use commonly on this side of the pond).

BTW - You might want to tailor your personal statement toward your educational experience, not your work experience.
"Not making any hard and fast rules means that the moderators can use their good judgment in moderation, and we think the results speak for themselves." - Amiga.org, terms of service

"You, got to stem the evil tide, and keep it on the the inside" - Rogers Waters

"God was never on your side" - Lemmy

Amiga! "Our appeal has become more selective"

They own amiga.org though. Why use this website then?

Anyway let's not get diverted again by an off-topic subject to the original post...ok...So what do you think of My CV? Good or does it need to be edited? Some useful feedback would be appreciated this time rather than diverted discussion. Thanks :)

Change this. As someone that's worked in the game industry, most companies want to know what SOFTWARE you're proficient in, not your "good skills." Also, be prepared to have a portfolio ready.

Just my 2p.

My first question would be what you have done between December 2011 and now? :)

@fondpondforever

Interesting but, IMHO, your CV could be even more "exciting" by providing more details :)

For example, you write "FdA in Graphic and Communication Design at Cornwall College." but for someone who does not know Cornwall College, you could provide some highlights on what you learn, what projects you worked on, your achievements... You could also explain what College it is, its strong points...

As other example, you write "
Amiga Games, Software, Hardware and Music/Sound Effects Developer" but what is it that you want to do exactly and concretely? This point relate to your Aspirations, I would suggest that you tailor your CV towards each company and pinpoint contributions that you would like to make for each one of them... If appropriate, you could even call them and ask what kind of people they are looking for!

I also totally agree with
Methuselas' comment :)
Good luck!

I hope i don't come across as cuckoo. If you think this CV is silly and unrealistic please just tell me scrap it and create a new one. Any feedback is much appreciated.

Here's a template I use:

Name
Address 1
Address 2
Address 3
Postcode

Email Address
Mobile #

Profile
(Short summary of skills and experience - tailor it to the job you're applying for)

Key Skills
(I break this up into categories e.g. Management/Creative/Technical/Other - highlight all the skills you bring to a role - they don't have to be professional, it can include volunteering experience etc.)

Employment History
(A list of dates/employers - doesn't have to be any more complicated than that)

Education
(List all your qualifications here)

Interests
(Keep this short but highlight any interests you might have that say something about you as a person be it creative, intellectual, charitable etc.)

I always try and fit my entire resume on a single page and this format has worked out pretty well for me :)
