since you have heard of fpga accelerators as such, and there is only one branch of them currently, namely the vamipre/apollo ones, you will probably be aware that solutions for all or almost all amiga models are envisioned, sooner or later. otherwise inform yourself on the apollo site or on majsta site, but try not to bother developers with unnecessary inquiries.

I think it's been posted a few times that their road map is something like A600 --> A500 --> A1200 --> big box Amiga's, someday if ever. Happy for A600 owners who can buy a great accelerator today. Everyone else will just have to wait. :(

TL;DR. "Two more weeks", haha. ;)

I was curious why they decided to start with the A600? Wasn't it one of the lesser made machines? Maybe not the case out of the US? Is it just that the developer had one so it was the first to get made?

Looking forward to seeing more, if anything it shows a market is out there for these things.

Majsta started his Vampire project on the A500 but chose to move to the A600 for the first production version as it was historically under served by accelerators. With expertise in A600 accelerators gained by Majsta and the Phoenix/Apollo team it made sense to stick with the A600 for the Vampire 2/Apollo development. The Apollo team had their own A500 "sandwich" accelerator design but rapid progress with the Vampire has seen that become the focus.
