As I said on the site the moneys to go towards a new digicam, but now I think I'll use whatever I get to help pay for my rail fair to the peterborough event, which seems likely to happen in a few weeks, so I will be able to provide another report and set of shoddy photo's :-)

No offence mate, but bitching about it like this is more likely to deter people than anything else.  If you want to draw attention to it, you mention it on the site or put the 'Donate' button somewhere more prominent.

The whole point of Paypal donations is that it's voluntary. If people don't appreciate what's there, they won't donate. If you want it to be a commercial endeavour, make it a pay site, or put up commercial banners. Otherwise you have to accept that you're going to lose money on your project.

this thread isnt a "beg thread" at all, I guess it could be read as such but it wasnt my intention in posting it. I was feeling very frustrated earlier when I posted this, so I am sorry.

The reason I did post it is because I am rather shocked no one had donated, I expected to see at least 1 or something, but I guess my efforts arent appreciated enough, never the less I will continue to do my reports because I enjoy doing them :-)

I don't, the pic was linked in the forums on a punk distro, I'm assuming he's called Mark because the original filename was mark.jpg... you're right though, it's very rare to get such an up-close picture of this, er... species. :lol:
