Has anyone tried one of this:
3.5" inch External USB Floppy Disk Drive for Laptop PC Portable 720KB/1.44MB FDD (eBay link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-5-inch-External-USB-Floppy-Disk-Drive-for-Laptop-PC-Portable-720KB-1-44MB-FDD/131326612317?_trksid=p2141725.c100338.m3726&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DS)

Would it be possible to use this drive plus a Windows based ADF creator/editor to convert my old floppies into adf that I can later use with my NG Amigas?
Amiga 1200 fully loaded by Aclii.
AmigaONE X5000 with OS4.1 FE
FPGA Arcade board in miniITX case with AmigaOS3.9 and WB 3.1.
MorphOS 3.9 in Mac Mini G4 1.5GHz, PowerBook & Power Mac G5
Acer Aspire One with AROS Icaros Desktop 2.1.1 &
MiST FPGA Minimig Amiga AGA Workbench 3.9 PFS3 configuration.

no, from what I've heard USB drives can only use 720K or 1.44Mb. you need expensive catweasel, or better, cheap 2floppy mod, or LPT hack.
but, those can't work on laptop.
Better sorry than worry.

No, you need a programmable floppy controller and a direct (Non-USB) floppy connector: Catweasle (32-bit Windows), Super Card Pro, or Kryo-flux to do this.

You know, I did hear that this can be done on an old device from the 80's or 90's called something like "?Amiga?"  but I can't swear to this rumor.
