We at Hyperion Entertainment CVBA are more than thrilled about the overwhelming success our customers made out of AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition! Thank you!

Actually the success is so great, causing especially the supply of AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition  for Classic to dry up during the last weeks and some of your preferred  dealers even ran out of stock already, which is of course unacceptable!

In order to remedy this drawback, Hyperion Entertainment CVBA commissioned the production of another batch of AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition  for Classic, which will be available to and from dealers before the end  of May - yes, 2015 ;) So if you did not get a copy yet or want another  one for your shelf, place your pre-order at your favourite dealer now!

Good  news for interested A3000 owners: of course we took advantage of this  opportunity and fixed the Kicklayout to allow proper booting on A3000  machines without the need for a special bootdisk.

And also some good news for all existing AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition owners: with immediate effect the CD images of your registered AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition  version(s) are available in the restricted download area. If not done  already, please log in yourself and register your copies by entering the  serial numbers in the registration form. We hope we eliminated in this  way the fear of a broken CD some of you expressed.

In closing, thank you all again for making the huge success of AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition  possible in the first place! This is the best support you can give us  for developing AmigaOS, so let's continue to stick together! :)

Well my OS 3.5 cd still isn't broken, neither is my OS 3.9 cd. Nor the bunch of coverdisks. Must be a bad batch of cd's then.

I hope they do understand why classic version is popular and that they understand the need for cheaper HW.

Alot of ppl intrested in OS4 can now boot it in WinUAE. Think how nice a fully optimzed QEMU with G4 setting would do.

No need to be snarky about it.  CD's get scratched over time, dropped, cat knocks them off the table, whatever.  My OS 3.9 disc had a few "hit retry - hit retry - hit retry" read errors the last time I used it, actually.  Sh*t happens.  But since your 3.9 CD is obviously in perfect condition, I'll be glad to take it off your hands!

If they added more ram support for the classic that would help alot. And if warp3d and composition would work also.

For a business that's recently had a brush with the receivers, they seem in no rush to get their one and only product back on sale.

It's been a couple of months now since the bankruptcy declaration was overturned, more since stocks ran out.

I do wonder what possible restructuring could entail removing from sale a product for which all costs are already incurred* and is now in the 'harvesting' stage where it costs pence per unit to publish, and is pure profit from there.

Mac Mini G4 (1.5GHz, 64MB VRam, 1GB Ram): MorphOS 3.6
Powerbook 5.8 (15", 1.67GHz, 128MB VRam, 1GB Ram): MorphOS 3.8.

Windows-free since 2011-2014 (Damn you Netflix!)

I'll sell you my copy for $100 USD.

Just kidding, actually I don't want to sell it, even though I have no idea when I'll actually have time to set up a system that uses it.  It is inconceivable why they don't have more... I mean, if they need help burning CD's and sticking labels on them, any of us could help with that.

Heck, they could even get a guy in their basement somewhere here in the US to do it, to save on shipping costs, right?  :laugh1:

Classic works great under WinUAE. I use it now and then, for it to really take off drivers or support for 3D are needed and a bump in available RAM. Although reading the agreement Hyperion consider this illegal use.

I could easily burn off a few through work using DVD duplicator, could have 100 or more done in an hour. However printing boxes and manuals is a harder task but still doable.

For their main revenue stream they are making some weird choices, a lot like most Amiga companies. Oh our bad we have stumbled across something that's making money. Lets let all stock dry up and then take months if not years or at all to make more ;)
