What criteria are you considering? Cost? I have yet to make the investment in a SCSI to IDE adapter myself, but I think that's probably the way to go. SCSI3 drives are getting on in age now and they're loud, power hungry, and hot. But they're fairly cheap and I think there is a certain level of pride in being a SCSI user

An IDE or SATA adapter opens the door to easily-swappable CF cards. Downside is price, and you need one for every device, whereas with a SCSI adapter you can convert your whole chain and use multiple devices hanging off the one adapter.
