im not aware of any popup's for amiga.org. Im sure if one was added us moderators would of been told. Perhaps you have a virus or something in IE? Id suggest downloading and installing FireFox. I have it installed on my PC... not that Ive used it yet, I always surf in Ibrowse2.3 :-)

I'm using Opera (use Opera) with "accept popups" set. I've not seen any popups today (use Opera) or every on AO. I assume (use Opera) you are using IE. Is windows (use Opera) messenger running?

None here. I am posting this on Ibrowse 2,3 but also use Firefox on a Mac at times too.

Download and install a spybot sweeper.  From the sound of things you have one of the many potential adware programs installed with some form of agent running in the background.  Find the agent and kill it.

Also, don't use IE.  IE is the worst browser you can use right now.  There are tons of security problems and lack of features that are almost a requirement nowdays (popup blockers).  Don't bother with 3rd party blockers, use a program that has the blocking installed with it (Opera, Fire#?, Mozilla, whatever).

Anyway, bed time.

No pop-up warnings here with Firefox...

I've moved this to 'amiga general chat', as it was hardly an announcement :-)

Heh, I've always been of the impression that Fade was a woman...don't know where I got that from, though.

I guess she could still be doing the one-handed thing, but it's more of a male thing, isn't it?

Sincerely,

-Kenneth Straarup.
