New Amiga VGA converter kit available...
« on: January 30, 2015, 10:03:33 PM »
Hi Everyone..

Just thought I would share this..

An Australian company - Microbee Technology has released a new VGA converter that is suitable for the Amiga range.

or direct link to the kit: http://www.microbeetechnology.com.au/store/index.php?_a=product&product_id=22

It uses a GBS8200 but adds an extra reprocessing board which cleans up the timing signals.

The kit can also be purchased in short form - so you can just by the part they designed and can add to your existing GBS8200 if you have one.

They even sell an adapter cable that has the rare DB23 connector - so you can plug your amiga's RBG out directly into the converter.

The kit is also suitible for C64's and other CGA RGB (both digital and analogue) computers.

Thought it was news worthy.. Microbee were around in the 8 bit days and designed a CP/M computer which was used throughout Australian schools. They went belly up when the likes of Apple and Commodore got popular. Today, they now make kits so home users can make the computers they used when they were kids.

I'm going to build this kit as soon as they list it back in stock :-)
