Amistore supposed to launch today. Any sign yet?
« on: November 10, 2014, 09:02:36 AM »
The A-Eon press release states that Amistore will launch on the 10th November (today).
http://www.a-eon.com/PDF/News_Release_Amistore.pdf

Is it coming via AmiUpdate or from http://www.amistore.net ?

Why don't we give them until the end of the day to bring it online?

@thread

yup, it's there. i've already bought a few things, the best so far (at least for me) is the AOS4-native personal paint 7.3. broadblues did a terrific job.

@amigakit

a massive congrats on the initial launch!

Yes! Nice job Matthew! Many thanks.
I can see me getting a few things to go alongside the release of 4.1FE

Your point about bugs is well made! Where do you want them reported?

Does Amistore run on an Amiga 1200 with Classic OS4.1 Installed? Thanks

I asked the same question a few days ago, and Amigakit answered;

Runnable on A1200, but quite slow on even a A1200 with 060 (unsure if it was with graphics card).
He did mention that he was looking into making a alternate method for weaker classical amiga, but Im sure its not priority.

I think there was a forum post somewhere that talked about making a GadTools version for classics. Hey, look on the bright side, the OS4 users will get to find all the bugs so by the time it makes it to the rest of us it'll be running smooth as silk! ;)

While emulation doesnt fully support all features of AOS4, it will probarly run Amistore and a wide range of software. Ive already ordered my copy of the OS, tho still waiting! :P
Tho its important to know that Toni, which is doing the emulation development is just doing it out of fun. And as soon as he feels inclined, he will change his focus (probarly improving 680x0 emulation even futher).

So IF you decide to shell out the required quid for AOS on emulation, remember that Amigakit, AEON and Hyperion got no stake or responsibility regarding that. AOS4.1 Final Edition is quoted at 29.95, and there will be a PPC/Classic version.

Just mentioning it to give you an alternative to run AmigaStore.

Can someone write a quick review of the store? I don't have an AOS 4 machine and I'm curious :)
