New USB board for X-Surf-100!
« on: October 13, 2014, 04:16:41 PM »
Don't want to steal anyone's thunder but just noticed the new USB board is available for the X-Surf-100! It is also adaptable to an internal clockport! I'm sure AmigaKit will announce in NEWS but I couldn't wait! @AmigaKit... will this be available for purchase as a combo item, i.e. the USB board with the X-Surf-100? Congrats Jens!

Would this be viable for a Higher quality USB audio device?  Had always heard that even with higher end Amigas that Denebs with USB audio was slow and quirky...

Thanks AmigaKit for sorting out! I would purchase from Jens directly but if you will offer the items, that would be better for me. I have a lot of stuff in my AmigaKit shopping cart that I want and I could save on shipping if purchased all at once! Maybe AmigaKit could offer both X-Surf and USB card as a combo item for around or < $350USD? That would be great if you could! :)

@Matt_H... I hear ya! :)

Nice! Can't wait for some performance numbers, will almost certainly purchase. On my A2000 with a Thylacine Poseidon was just too slow to even use a USB mouse. Fingers crossed that Jens' hardware performs better; I suspect it will! :D

Edit: just browsing the site. It looks like there's three different versions? The cheaper one listed for X-Surf 100 says it doesn't work with clockports, even though it has a clockport connector. The more expensive one says it works with clockports and also the X-Surf 100, is that correct? So even if you're purchasing one for the X-Surf 100, would it be better to purchase the clockport model if you think you might want to use it in an A1200 in the future, for example?

Yes, I also would like to know if it works on my X-Surf 100 with OS4.1 as I don't have <=3.9 installed on my system.
