I must say Im a bit sad to read this. While I do have a A1200, and are sticking to AOS and for the most part buying my hardware from Amigakit; Ive always enjoyed reading AROS+MorphOS news too.
Moderating out/away newsitems from these parties only helps to alienate overall, which is not what this rather small community needs.
When it comes to the "copying of ideas"; I would think that its something Amigakit/Aeon has decided on their own accord. For example Steam storefront is extremely successful, and have been for years, so its hardly new or unproven. Additionally its something Ive called for for years on Amiga.org and AW when there have been "what do the Amiga lack/need and future ahead" kinda threads
When it comes to the Storefront app; one of the most "important" features from MY point of view is the Chat feature. While I do use Steam quite a bit to shop and keep track of my software library, I use the chat almost daily too. It creates "loyal" users since people enjoy chatting with their gaming buddies or even real life friends they have added to the chat.
