Where to buy a case?
« on: February 17, 2004, 02:56:34 AM »
I'm looking for a full tower case. Doesn't particlarly have to be fancy, but must have lots of drive bays / space. I'm finding it difficult to find many full tower cases on the internet - I've tried dabs and ebuyer, but other than that, I can't get past those bloody annoying online shop portal thingies, like kelkoo. Can anyone recommend a good UK supplier (and anyone not in the UK perhaps you can recommend a make?)

Thanks in advance
I like Amigas

I was considering towering my A4000, and was just trying to find out what the likely cost will be.

well you are kinda in luck

We are in the middle of designing some really nice cases made for the A4000. Been real buzy but I will try and post some pictures tonight. We already have an extensive variety of A1200 cases. Well 4 styles in a selection of colors for 22 in all but they do represent the most varied collection of A1200 cases yet made.
The A4000 towers besides offering a very well designed case. No PC case hackem job here. some really inovative design features. These case will offer a ATX to A4000 power adapter with the ability to turn off your A4000 from software. The case is designed smart with the A4000 on the left side of the case so your cards are not hanging upside down and looking for an excuse to become dislodged. The mediator and A4000 tower case of course have the A4000 mounted on the right side on the case. You must specify what type you want when ordering. Again these case will be offered in a wide range of colors and styles NO BORING UGLY BEIGE BOXES here. Did I mention you have the ability to have the backplate completely customized with personal engaving and labled port cutouts.  All for a mere 210 USD
with the current dollar to the pound conversion this is bargain for cases of such quality.

I must say from the pictures you sent me I am VERY impressed. This is high quality professional work. Having done numerous tower projects myself, this looks like the way to go. I would LOVE to have one for my A4000D.  Looking forward to more pictures :-).

I can vouch for the Revanche cases.  I just put together an A1200 tower that is most impressive to behold.  Shortly, I will post photo pages of the endeavor.  A most preferable alternative to the standad fare of cases out there.

I'd sure like to have one made that works with an A3000d motherboard and a mediator!! It would sure look better then my ugly Mirage tower case.

Does anyone know if Gateway acquired the original Amiga case designs in the AmigaInc buyout?

These are made for the straight A4000D and A4000T,The mediator variants and the eagle for now.
The grex desk top will fit into a Standard A4000 case the only one that is a mystery to me is the promethious but if I get enough requests or somebody sends me a prometheous for me to fit into a tower case. Then I will offer them out.

@kgrach:

Your cases look very attractive and I must admit that I would really like to have one of those, however why such a high price? It's about equal to what Elbox is offering. I'd assume if you want to compete with them, you'd lower your price a bit. I'm not convinced to shift from the Elbox standard(s) for an equal price. It's gotta be lower.

What you are offering here is the SAME thing as Elbox, but slightly better looking, for the same price.

My 2 cents, anyways.
