FS: A4000T, PPC, CybervisionPPC
« on: September 07, 2014, 09:26:58 PM »
Hi!

I have a high-end-classic system, which I will sell:

Amiga 4000T (original tower from Amiga technologies)
Phase5 Cyberstorm PPC with 68060 and PPC should be 200MHz
equipped with 128 MB RAM
Phase5 Cybervision PPC

Maybe someone here is interested? I ask here before I will put it on eBay if no one is interested.

How much are you selling the a4000 for? I wish I had the cash right now but I do not.
Someone here may well buy it; a4000's are popular.

Well, I do not really know at the moment. It is a highspecced machine, but I have no real idea what it can be worth.

Don't start any lower than $2000.00! Nice kit is worth at least that much.

I may need the CStormPPC if mine is no longer working. But I can not tell since I'm sending it to Stachu in a couple of days and he is the one to tell.

I suggest you do what I did and sell the PPC accelerator and Cybervision separately and replace the accelerator with a fast 68060 only accelerator, or wait for the Apollo FPGA accelerators to be finished and keep your A4000T.  Unless you have other Classic Amiga computers to satisfy your needs.  The Phase5 PPC accelerators and matching video cards sell for insane prices still.  I traded mine for a modified 68060 @ 80MHz plus a good size chunk of cash.

You might also try asking what it is worth over on the AmiBay site.

Good luck, no matter what you decide to do with it.:)

Isn't asking that against Amibay's weird rules? I general avoid that site, let's stay here instead ;-)

@Amigadave:
I have an A4000T here (equipped with a Quikpak 060), so ne need for it. A second machine is nice, but I try to limit my collection to classic (non PPC) Amigas and only one of all (well the most) models.
Also I am not very confident in the concept behind Amibay, so I do not think I will go that way.

At the moment I have suggestions from: give it to me cheap up to do not give it away below EUR 10000,- and two kidneys, but no real offers.

It depends on what you want. If you want a fast sale, let it go for 1500 euros.
If not.You can push prices a bit more. CSPPC 1200 euros, A4000T if has a nice looking 800 euros with HDD , ram , Keyboard etc, no cpu. CVPPC 300 euros.
I think 2300 euros , plus postage is a fair price , considering what people charge for their stuff.

Cheers!

As I got no feedback from the persons who wanted the combo, I just make a public offer:

Complete system, incl. A4000T, CSPPC, CVPPC, software, OS 3.1 (A4000T-version), manuals and some accessoires for EUR 2222,22 plus shipping.

First come, first serve. If the system is sold it is gone.

Yeah, if you already have another Amiga with an 060, you don't need to trade your CSPPC for a 2nd 68060 accelerator.  Also, I forgot that AmiBay does not allow asking what the price should be, so scratch that idea.

If you want to get the most money for your system, you should probably part it out on eBay one part for each auction.  Usually, if you sell the whole system together, the price you get will be a little lower, but maybe not in this case.

Again, good luck with your sale.

As it looks like now, this will be the way it is going (parted out and ripped apart and off to eBay) :(

I wanted to try to sell it as a complete system first, as it is a very nice combo.
