ClassicWB 68K - added MWB - can I go back?

I have an A2000 that I setup with ClassicWB 68K flavor (fairly minimal). I added a Picasso II and then added Magic Workbench and its icons, which looked better at higher res. I have removed the Picasso II and sold it (well, the auction is ongoing right now), and I now want to go back to the smaller ClassicWB 68K icons.

Is there an easy way to do this - to "undo" Magic WB?

You could always try something like this, can't say for certain that it will do the job but you can try it.

Really easy!
Boot from the install disk...format hard drive...install complete 3.1.

Clean and shiny.

MAKE a backup!
for the record, I made three partitions dh0, dh1 and and a small dh2. I use dh0 as a system and dh1 as Work. DH2 is a copy of the system. If I get into trouble (all the time)
I just copy dh2 back to dh0.
I also have a cd backup. just in case.

• Is it possible to uninstall MagicWB?

Yes. When you think you can stand the old and dull Commodore look on your workbench you can just uninstall MagicWB by re-installing the Commodore system disks. This will not delete any personal settings, it will just replace your icons and default system files. Additionally you should delete the file 'MagicWB' in your 'ENVARC:' directory and remove the 'MagicWB-Demon' line from your startup-sequence and user-startup. This is it.

Keep in mind je should probably backup your startup-sequence and/or user-startup.

There is no such thing as an uninstaller for MagicWB. Replacing the icons either by hand or by replacing via the 3.1 disks is one thing.
It's certainly not the best looking solution as you use Bloodwych's ClassicWB package with other iconset, so replacing the stock 3.1 icons will look rather crappy.

Imho you have 3 options:
1. Reinstall your ClassicWB pack from scratch backing up whatever you want from your current setup
2. Setup the ClassicWB pack of your choice in WinUAE and transfer only the icons to your Amiga replacing the MagicWB ones.
3. If you like the MagicWB set but you use lo-res, you can use Aminet's SmallMagic pack (and Bloodwych has a lot of these on his low-end versions as well), replacing the current original MagicWB icon packs which will look just fine even in lo-res.
