Amiga Forever Paula Emulation

I use Amiga Forever in Windows 8 and whenever I run Blasteroids, the music sounds choppy. Is there a way to remedy this symptom?

Full screen mode?
Although I never used it (only winuae) I switched from DX to D3D or the opposite? :-/
I can't remember which I am using now cause my win8 pc is far away. Hope it helps.
