Ok, I've had enough. They can print vaginas but they can't print amiga cases? I call bull$hit.

Wow, the links on that article are amazing.  Especially about the "officially sanctioned annual pen*s festival".  :roflmao:

Probably because none of the hobbyist level 3d printers could do anything as large as a computer case..... all the A3000 floppy drive buttons you want though. ;-)

Don't worry. We will create a new case for A1200 but we need time.

Probably because there is no Amiga software nor drivers for 3D printers. Heck even printing in 2D is difficult enought these days.

v1200.

Can you imagine printing a vag and moving your mobo, drive etc to the v1200 case?   You'd have to have the v1200 case on its side that way you can insert floppy disks in it.  LOL

Ive been wanting new A1200 Cases for ages but the 3D printer I got access to can only make 15x15x15cm prints and I have not figured out a really good/nice way to put em together.

If nothing pops up I'll probably try to make one out of metal some day :)

@ancalimon - are you working on a way to make new cases?

We will.. As a group. I'm waiting for the new A1200 I got from Petro, so that we can scan it and get a stl file for the A1200 case. Than we will model a new case and look into 3d printing options if there is a printer large enough to print a case. Otherwise we will be looking at other options.

I don't think anyone scanned A1200 case parts before so it will probably be costly to create a prototype.

Most consumer grade 3D printers couldn't do the size nor the quality most people would demand, tbh.

TommyWright (probably misspelled that) did a pretty nice 3d printer amiga style case a while back and recently offered the design to anyone that wants to use it.
I dont have the url, but it was in a thread at aw.net recently.
Near as I can tell this is where I write something under the guise of being innocuous, but really its a pot shot at another persons/peoples choice of Amiga based systems. Unfortunately only I cant see how transparent and petty it makes me look.
