Microbotics Mouse Time

I have one of these beasts, that I thought was broken. I just read that it does NOT take over the system clock, but must be read via a CLI command.
OK, so what's the command? I have plugged into the second A1000 joystick port (mouse port) and haven't done anything to make it transparent.
Any one remember this thing?

Is this the one that plugged into the Amiga 1000 mouse/joy port and only worked with KS1.2 and like the Digi-View motorized color wheel, became worthless with later kickstarts?

It plugs into t he second joystick port, yup. It's supposed to work with up 1.3 (at least I've been told). It's an odd beast, because it doesn't use the system clock. This why I want to find the CLI commands to read the thing.
The only neat thing about this device is that it has a pass through, so the port can still be used......

I qualify as one of those "old timers" who started using my A1000 in 1987 (I am sure others around here started even earlier) and I still have it here with me, including all of the add-ons that I put into it.

Unfortunately, I did not have any experience with the Microbotics Mouse Time, even with all of my later collected Amiga's, none of them came with that device.  If you find someone with the manual for the Mouse Time, it would be good to have them add an entry  over at the "Big Book of Amiga" website.  They have several entries for Microbotics company, but not the Mouse Time.

Oh, you are looking for the CLI command to pull the date & time then set the system clock.  Er, good luck...

Have you thought of "probing" the port over time to see what changes and reverse engineering the software?

Hmm, I guess it came with a diskette but searching my usual sites(a skeleton list these days) came up with nothing.  Perhaps post on Amiga World, amibay, etc..

Its not like I need another clock for my A1000, so I might just put this little jewel on ebay and be done with it.....

I'm interested if you want to sell as I've been looking for one of these RTC's for my A1000 for a while that will work with 1.3 as the only ones I was able to find needed a minimum of 2.0.
