List of "Must Register" while we still can
« on: June 21, 2014, 10:18:55 PM »
I would like opinions on what the "Must Haves" are that I can and should still register right now before it is too late.  No specific platform (IE OS4, MorphOS - already reg'ed this one), ect. I like them all and have most of them.

I just did MUI - Thank You!
MorphOS PPC
RadeonHD for OS4
Roadshow 68K, ect.

I am about to try WHDload, is it too late? What else do you recommend that you can still buy or reg for the Amiga, or anything platform really. I just reg'ed Daqarta for the PC. Pretty neat program!  This also includes "killer apps that run under OS4, MorphOS, ect. Games only if they are REALLY must have.

Thanks,
Jeff

Actually I have used Turbo Print at a friends business years ago on an Epson injet
and the results were great. I didn't know it was still available. I'll look at the list of supported printers.

I am was looking at DVplayer too, or is that included with 4.x now?

You've named the two big ones for 68k... Roadshow 68K and WHDLoad.

Under AmigaOS 4 I would add egame.

It was intended to be a list of software that anyone can still register for the Amiga-like systems (MorphOS, AmigaOS 4.x, Amiga 68k, ect). I have registered MUI as well as some others lately and I was thinking of this. That's all.

Thanks for the ideas

To get the full version of DVplayer, I think you need to purchase and register it, and with the recent announcement that A-Eon/AmigaKit becoming the new sole distributor of DVplayer, you could ask Trevor or Matthew about the registration process and/or price to purchase.

It will be available on the AmiStore, from what I read.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

you might find the intuitionbase.com list of commercial software handy. there's about fifty titles on the list currently. of course this is just for AOS4-native software -- there's plenty more still for sale that is 68K but still runs on (some) NG platforms.

This is actually a very useful thread, can we get a complete list, with contact info?  I am waiting on a motherboard for my Amiga 4000, then I want to use programs like WHDLoad, MUI and so on and it would be great to be able to register them all as well as support any of them still actively writing things for our community!

Here is our chance to compile it then. Thank you for the suggestions so far.

I guess registering MUI takes a while currently, as Stuntzi cycles South America (nort to south). Currently he's crossing Ecuador.

I guess he's not back before end of year.

Those are good.  Checking my VAULT: directory, these are some of the keyfiles there:
Genesis
Lha
Miami
Mui
Voyager
iBrowse
Digital Universe
PIV MooVid
Spitfire
TVPaint

I think many of these are commonly available now, others are simply purchased software.  Are the iBrowse people still incommunicado?
