I have just ordered myself a Mediator LT4 from Amigakit and I cant wait till it comes, I have got myself all the compatible cards for it already but want to know how hard/easy it is to get the Radeon 9200 gfx card setup so I can use it for my workbench display?

Well, I have a Radeon 9250 PCI card working on my A1200 tower.  For the tower specifications, see

But I haven't put USB in it yet,

Did you see this one?

Of course it's out of stock, but maybe try shooting them an email to check on ETA?

If you can read instructions the installation of the radeon9200 should be easy :)
I say "should" because I have two mediators and in one of them it seems to be impossible to install the radeon card that i'm trying to use, the best i can get is to get it to display the testdisplay and then crash. On the other mediator the installation was easy as always.

If you want a cheap usb sollution it's pretty easy to find spider usb "clones". They are working pretty well but is somewhat limited because they won't function right after powerup because they need the mediator drivers to get initialized.

I had a look the spider but would prefer a cheaper alternative if it's possible?

There were people re-flashing NEC USB cards to work with the Mediator a few years back.  Some throuh this site and some on Amibay.  May be worth asking at Amibay and EAB.  If you're good at soldering and have an EPROM programmer you may be able to do it yourself if someone can provide you with the required firmware.

I will to see if there are any available on EAB and amibay, as for doing it myself I simply do not have the experience to soldier or have the EPROM programmer to do this :(

My Mediator came today, really looking forward to installing it but unfortunately I am at work until 10pm :( When I get in tonight I will install it and let you all know how I get on, hopefully it will install like a breeze with my radeon card inside of it :)

Reverse your steps.  Try without the accelerator.  Test your power supply.  Will it boot and work correctly off any disk (such as an old game)?

Ok managed to get the mediator running and have installed the drivers from the cd along with mediator multimedia installer, ran the medconfig etc.. chose radeon 9250 for the card and chose 32mb of ram it installed all the relevant drivers etc... but when I go into devs there is nothing there? Also when I reboot I get an error saying "Unable to open mixer.library" any ideas?

I remember this thread from a few weeks ago mentioned mixer:

http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?p=757409

Any help there?  Sorry I don't own a Mediator so can't help more.  Does AmigaKit provide any setup instructions with it?

Anyone?

I joined this group a year or so ago.  Plenty of Mediator users there that can help you.
