A2090a scsi troubles
« on: January 27, 2014, 01:04:33 AM »
Hey guys,

I have an Amiga 2000 that came with an a2090a controller.  I know there are better out there but I figured since I had it, I might as well try it.  So I borrowed a 105mb hd from one of my Macs.. a Quantum Prologic LPS 105 S.  Entered it as a user custom drive.. said yes to format.. but nothing happens.  It just sits there.  No sign the drive is even active.  The HDD indicator LED though is solid green.  Never flickers.

Bum controller card?  Any test utils I csn employ to see whats up?

The 2090a has so many problems, and is so picky about it will do, why drive yourself crazy. Grab another card. Almost any are better. The GVP line are OK. Even Commodore's 2091 is OK. I wish I could give you more encouraging news.
