Converting DataFlyer 500 SCSI to SCSI & IDE

I recently bought a DataFlyer 500 SCSI.  I'd like to enable the IDE functionality of the board.

I've compared the SCSI-only version with the SCSI & IDE versions, and from what I can tell, I need to add:

(1) 244
(2) 245's
Couple odd resistors (pull-ups maybe? Haven't looked)
IDE Connector
DTACK PAL IC

Would the ROM be the same?

AFAIK, my only real concern would be the source for the DTACK PAL.  If I had the equations, I could probably put together a CPLD to mimic it.  Not sure where else I might get said PAL.

Has anyone attempted this before? or have additional information to help?

My end goal would be to use an IDE compact flash adapter and boot from that.

I have a DataFlyer SCSI+IDE controller in my A2000, I will take a look at the board and the manual this weekend. Some of what you refer to is beyond my tech knowledge. I tried setting up and configuring the IDE channel once or twice back in the 90s but I never got it to work. I gave up since I really didn't need IDE devices at the time, but it would be nice to set it up with a Compact Flash to the IDE.
