Hmmm...

The only Amiga Item I got rid of that I regret very slightly was the 3000T.  She was a beasty, and a beauty...  Honestly the 3000D is a better fit for my needs, but the tower was rare, with a great build quality, and was the heaviest computer I have ever owned...

Still use my A3000 I bought new in the early 90's.  Best darn Amiga ever made, sadly 95% of them have battery damage.

Have my first 500, dead in a box.

I try not too get attached, I generally try a system and get rid of it if my kids or I don't use it.

Seems like an awkward way of just sampling different systems. Do you ever have trouble selling your stuff? I have found it is actually quite hard to get rid of stuff easily.
Even my cat doesn\'t like me.

I never left either.  The grass was never greener on another platform, and I think I've tried 'em all.  Other platforms are certainly useful, but none capture my imagination.  They are screwdrivers.

well put! No matter useful the other platforms or how fast I never get the same feeling or have the fun I did(I will again soon) the Amiga.

LOL :)

That was a good one.

Nah, it's actually lazy...  But in the next few months it will be history...

I have friends who drop off systems to try as they move on to other systems.  Sometimes I find a part or two to help make the system better.  My kids fight over using the Amiga, so I like to have a few for them to play/work on.

Sometimes I do have trouble, if it's very heavy or has little value.  Everything else moves pretty well...  Only Amiga I haven't owned/tried is a 600, that system never caught any attention in my region.  Most of the stores were closing, and Amiga enthusiasts started on 1000/500 systems and all upgraded to big box.

Yeah I regret selling my Amiga 1200 with SCSI squirrel, external SCSI tower, 040 expansion, CD Burner, and a ton of other extras.  She was a lot of fun :).  Well I do have an expanded A3000, A4000, A1000, and A500+ and CD32.  Getting my collection built up again.

I remember all the Commordore computers I've had and then let go only to buy them again later. Here we go.
 1. Bought a C=64 in Hawaii in Dec 85 while in the military. This was my first computer and everyone else in the barracks at Ft. Shafter were running games and hacking copies of the games. I used it to do a good bit of my college papers with no issues. I sold it in 1987 to buy a A500.
2. Had the A500 until I decided I needed a A2000 which I bought in 1989. Sold it in Califorina and got a 8088 PC, dumb idea.
3. Later assignment in Japan at Camp Zama in 1994 I joined a BBS group called FETCH and got a free C=64 they were throwing out. Still have it today.
4. In 1999 I bought a used A500+ from one of the Amiga on-line stores and added a CSA 030 Derringer card. Later gave it away after buying a used A2000HD. Kept the CSA card. I still have the A2000HD with the CSA card, Video toaster 2000 card and DPS card. It's currently sitting in a storage cabinet until I can find room in the next house to build my computer room. I think having a A1200 would make it easier and less complications?

Back in the 80's using computers was more fun and you had to try and work with the system which today's computers don't require any effort or brain power to use.

Great responses and stories! I forgot CSA made the Derringer which I have in my A2000. It's been that long since I looked at the floppy it came with. I had two stock A500's I sold to a teacher on an Native American reservation. I think they both had 512kb but one was expanded to 1MB with a 512KB chip ram expansion in the trap door. I wished i had kept one for my DCTV because I will not be able to use it on the A2000 with the Video Toaster installed. I might see if I can pick one up again.

It looks like you got really good start, is your A4000 expanded with extras?

Not so much an Amiga that I miss, but I remember when I got my A500 when I was 16, I needed a desk for it (and the C64 was still occupying the only other desk we had). So being resourceful, I made a desk in my high school shop class. It was probably the biggest thing anyone had ever made in that class, had to get one of my mom's friends who had a van to drive it home for me. Even got a darn medal from the teacher, as an award, for having the best shop project.

That desk served me well for many years. I think I was around 27 when I finally dragged it out to the curb. I crossed my fingers that someone would take it with the "Free" sign, before the trash collectors did. Never did know what happened to it afterward, but I still miss it. :(

I let an A1200 go really cheap so a landlord we were fighting with wouldn't end up with it. As it worked out, he stole a really large tower made for Toaster work (with an a4000D inside, and a C-128, and loads on add ons and software, a laser printer and huge 21" CRT monitor. Man I hate thieves!
Right now I'm happy enough with an A2000 and A1000 that both work like new (or better).
A2000 GVP 40MHz \'030, 21Mb RAM SD/FF, 2 floppies, internal CD-ROM drive, micromys v3 w/laser mouse
A1000 Microbotics Starboard II w/2Mb 1080, & external floppy (AIRdrive)
C-128 w/1571, 1750, & Final Cartridge III+

Well it really hits me sometimes when I miss the Amigas and Amiga stuff I sold. For examples Amiga 1200 with Blizzard 1260 and SCSI-2 controller.  DPS Personal Animation Recorder, Opalvision. At least I still have my A2000 the very first Amiga I bought from the original owner. I will put it in my will to bury me with it.
Does anyone else have regrets of selling Amiga hardware/ software etc.?

My first Amiga, an Amiga 1000 purchased 2 weeks after Amiga hit the market. It had a supra memory expansion, a spirit memory card, a supra hard drive controller a 1200 baud modem, a digiview and a star color printer. When I moved to Pennsylvania from Panama City, Fl. in 2005 I told the wife to just forget the dozen of computers I had in the garage and throw them out, what a brain fart, I forgot that before leaving I put the Amiga 1000 in the garage, plus my C64 built up for breaking games and all C64 software and my new C128 desktop in the garage, well they all went out in the trash along with the other 10 or so PC's that were in there. She said some guy drove buy and asked if he could take them, and she said yeah take them all if you want them. BTW the A1000 was tower mounted, and had 3 power supplied in there for hard disk control, I spent over 6 months planning and building that A1000 tower.
I have no idea what your talking about, so here is a doggy with a small pancake on his head.

MorphOS is a MAC done a little better
