Sam460 system for sale
« on: January 04, 2014, 05:46:56 PM »
SYSTEM NOW SOLD

Hi everyone,

I have decided that I need to sell my Sam460 system

The system is a SAM460 (1.15Ghz CPU) with 2GB RAM in a Coolermaster Centrurian 5 case with PSU.

Also included in the sale are:

* 1TB 3.5" HDD
Currently Partitioned with 5 drives:
    * AmigaOS (updated to 4.1.6) (2GB)
    * Games (598GB)
    * Productivity (100GB)
    * Files (200GB)
    * Downloads (100GB)
* PCI-E Radeon HD6570 graphics card
* SATA DVD writter
* SIL3114 4 port SATA card
* Amiga OS4.1 CD with emergency boot memory card (licence will be transfered once new owner takes possession of the system)

I will also throw in some games:
    *Quake 2
    *Freespace
    *Napalm
    *Earth2140 + Expansion
    *Simon the Sorceror 2
    *Nightlong
    *Foundation Gold Edition

Note: Hard drive already has quite a few free games installed from various sites like os4depot, and I will leave installed all the other productivity programs I have downloaded (e.g. Amicygnix + Abiword, Gnumeric, Gimp etc).

I would prefer to sell the system as a whole.

Price is £550 or nearest offer for everything, with payment via PayPal as a gift or buyer pays paypal fees.

Buyer also pays shipping costs

Please PM me for costs to your location.

Hi Iggy,

Thanks for the concern :-)

I am OK, just tired of the scene really and as my wife and I are trying for a baby so I am saving up as much money as I can.

Also my other hobbies vastly outweigh the time I spend on my miggy :-(.

Also watch this space as I will be selling my classic system from my sig, although I will probably break that up for a quicker sale.

I originally bought the system so I could write install scripts for people, but I never got the time to do it because of work :-(

Hi Vox.

Unfortunately I am using the games as a sweetener to try and get the system sold, so I wont be able to sell them separately.

Although if someone is not interested in the games at all and just wants the system I will let you know :-)

Understandable, I have thinned out my excess processions myself.
If you don't have time to use it, find someone who might.
If MorphOS didn't offer some functionality, I'd let that go too.

That OS is what makes your SAM interesting.

Soon it will be the first PCI-E system that supports OS4 and MorphOS.

Hey guys, the board alone is almost worth his asking price.
You aren't going to find a better price on one of these systems than this.

Surely, plus AROS and Linux.

Well ... MOS has to support RadeonHDs, because SAM 460ex is picky on gfx cards ... but that is for new owner to survive.

Anyway, top Acube model based on 440 experience!

Outside of the X1300, I am can not really speculate what cards might be supported under MorphOS once SAM460 support is released.

But I suspect we will receive 3D support for HD cards before this is available for OS4.

And, as our developers aren't focused on a multi-core revision, the SAM might run better under MorphOS than OS4.2.

Good Day,
I like the price/bundle, is very tempting but shipping to California and currency conversion will kill me. I really have to save up for something like this.
