I have a 3000T bit do not have the orginal operating manual.  I need to know the function of the key switch on the front.  What did each position do?  My key switch is broken and trying to diagnose behavior.  Also looking for a replacement key switch.

Apparently the key switch is hooked to a (FAIL) chip and the power supply that will not allow the powersupply or computer to start, if the key is not in the right position.

Also in Commodore's infinite wisdom has an unlabled connecter with 9 pins going to LEDs, and key switch, with no info how to attach them to the extension cable from the motherboard. :juggler:

The key lock will lock the system so it will not allow any keyboard input etc. Also, if you turn the key all the way to the right (going off memory) it will also act as a reset switch for the A3000T.
