For Sale:Amiga 4000/040
« on: November 19, 2013, 04:43:59 AM »
So here's the deal, I have an Amiga 4000/040 I'm not using and I'd like some cash for a Hasselblad 500c. These pictures are from my last thread, where I sold my other one, the oneschool that isthe being sold is almost identical to thethe one pictured. The computer is in decent shape, it boots up, and the floppy drive detected a disk when I inserted one. Beyond that, not much testing has been done as I don't have any programs for it. The computer also includes a video toaster card, and the video toaster program is installed on its hard drive. This will also include the keyboard, which I don't have a picture of, but was in alright shape the last time I saw. I'm currently away at school, so I will not be able to ship the computer until around December 14th. I'm posting this early simply to get a deal lined up, so I can ship it as soon as I get home. Based off my previous price check thread, I'm setting the price at $400 or best offer.

*SOLD*

Good price, good looking system.  You may want to post a picture of the battery area when you have a chance, since a leaking battery can wreck havoc on these systems.

Good question. I don't have picture, unforunately, but I did check the battery before I left. It had leaked but it was really limited to the battery, I don't recall seeing anything outside of its footprint affected. I will get a picture as soon as I get back though.

I know I don't have many posts on this site, so here's my Atariage feedback.

The Amiga is being put back onto the market because I haven't heard back from Magnetic in over a week. I do have some updates about the condition. First I checked the clock battery and it has already been removed from this unit. I've already packed the computer up so I can't take a picture but there was little damage to the surrounding area. Second, a picture of the keyboard. I can't confirm it 100% works, but I was able to use it to navigate the desktop since I don't have a mouse.

Also, this picture of the system info screen. With the monitor on the right color setting too.

There actually is one of those Hasselblads in my house, but as it's my father's I think he might object to me using it as a trade for this!

Cameras that use film and Amiga computers, damn we are all old.
