With the breaking news that MUI 4 is now available for AmigaOS a modern realization is one step closer to being possible which can only be seen as a good thing for all users.

And we can now code for the same user interface.
Actually, that is nice (and not really expected).

A modern realization of what?

"A modern realization of...", I would assume, Amiga OS.

Since it is Christmas day, I take this opportunity to express the wish of a 68k release.

This wish will self-destruct in 5 seconds.

Wishful thinking, but its just not powerful enough.

Now we are designing Amiga 68K apps that won't run on a 68K Amiga?
That is perverse.

What is there perverse? That not everything runs on 20 years old hardware?

If I remember right you love PPC based overprized new hardware in 2013. Is that not perverse too?

Yes, it is.
And I love it!
What pervert doesn't wholly embrace his perversion?

And most of my hardware is low cost (except for the over priced legacy stuff - yet another perversion, paying more for outdated hardware than new and more useful stuff).

I won't attempt to justify the pursuit of any particular form of 'recreational computing'.
If it itches, scratch it.

"Recreational computing"
It is always a pleasure to be discredited.

It seems that today, the hardware developments are a joke.
But once things get complicated, there is no one on the spot.
Except at the notary.

There's nothing quite like getting your freak on with Amigas.

Odyssey would run on an 060 with 256MB RAM, it would just be a tad slow. Disable JavaScript and use the WarpDT datatypes for image decoding and it could be usable.

Define tad slow. Knowing that we are supporting a browser for the Amiga that finally allows us to view all flash pages 100% like Windows 7 and Windows 8, we are supporting or donating to a browser that allows us to watch videos, such as youtube, etc on the browser itself like we do with Windows and Linux and so on.....we are supporting a browser that allows us to play flash/html5/and java script games and apps.

Having achieved all that...what are the chance rate that speed is a factor when it comes to legacy hardware? :P You know as well, when you say tad slow...that is very much deceiving...we can say that if we DID (which is insane) but import it to 68k...it is good enough to browse only HTML5/CSS page...but flash, javascript and watching videos on a classical Amiga is not feasible even if we manage to grind the 060 to run at 200 Mhz (which is impossible to do).

So...I believe...the best we can do..is run it on AmigaOS 4.1 on a powerful PPC...that is where the benefit of donation goes..not on a 060 hardware running at 50 Mhz or 100 mhz CPU....
