seems  my pcmcia  slot does work  sees the card etc  ..cant prepare it says
the card is write protected ..how i prepare a card ??..how u unwrite protect ?..or format  etc?
A500 3.1/8meg/2gigscsi ...wants a 040
CD32/SX1/FMV/FLASHDRIVE/  wants sx32pro
A1200  os3.5 030/50/fpu/mmu/2flashdrives/cd/   indivision coming ..............wants a ppc/060  ACCEL :laughing:

It may not be the slot its possibly the type of CF card. Amigas are sensitive to the type used. I recommend SanDisk cf.

Is a CF or SD card? SD card have a little "switch" to protect/unproted the card.

This cards ares like another HDD or floppy, can you see the NDOS icon?

The PrepCard program does not work with CF cards, it can only handle SRAM cards.

To prepare a CF card for the PCMCIA slot, just format it as FAT16 or FAT32 on a PC. Normally new CF cards are already formatted like that.

On the Amiga, if CF0 is installed along with compactflash.device and FAT95, no further preparation is needed.

Also do you have the appropriate drivers installed?

ok..its  a compact  flash...have  fat95  etc installed  ..no icon  ever appeared ..directory opus sees a cf0  ..but when selected  says no card installed ..im missing something  here  ..have to try an work it out i guess ..
