Games for my 1200 Amiga

Hi I am sure years ago I just downloaded games from whdload  and the games worked perfectly ,when I try to do it now it said Hd and asks for a disk ,does this mean I have to have the original discs ,and if so is there any where else to download from that just gives me a playable game ,best wishes Brian,ps I have loads of memory and accelerator fitted so the old girl is very fast .

Whdload in it's "native" (for lack of a better word) form is a bunch of installers that are to be used with original floppy games that a person might own. Because Amiga games are usually pretty old, and fairly small, people will often upload pirated versions of said software, which have already had the installers used against the games.

Is this what you mean?
Near as I can tell this is where I write something under the guise of being innocuous, but really its a pot shot at another persons/peoples choice of Amiga based systems. Unfortunately only I cant see how transparent and petty it makes me look.

Hi thanks for your reply ,and yes this is what I mean ,I too have hundred's of old games ,is this what whdload is looking for when I try to install one of there games ,because I don't think many will still work ,any way thanks for the help Brian

Maybe just keep browsing. "Whdload-ified" versions of most games are available online. Amongst others KillerGorilla's packs are quite good, and whdownload.com is also a reasonable source.

Thanks to all for the help sorted now ,got a few games and bought a whdload  license key makes gaming a real pleasure on my Amiga 1200 ,best wishes Brian.
